Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services has been named one of the Top 50 Recession-Proof Franchises in a new special report from Franchise Business Review.
Cleaning franchises are among the sectors that Franchise Business Review anticipates to perform well as the economy begins to rebound, along with automotive repair, business services and staffing, child services and education, financial services, fitness, food, home repair and maintenance, personal services, real estate, senior services and home care, specialty retail and resale, and specialty services.

Much of the nation was shut down this spring because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although economists predict a fairly quick recovery, mid-career executives may have trouble finding comparable positions, and so they may begin looking for opportunities to take control of their own futures, explore their passions and establish careers that make them happy, said Eric Stites, CEO and managing director of Franchise Business Review, in a call announcing the report.
“Franchising has historically done very well under most economic conditions,” Stites said in the report. “During boom periods, the fear of missing out on a great opportunity fuels strong franchise growth. During a downturn, on the other hand, lack of employment opportunities or fear of job loss drives many people to explore franchise ownership.”
