Cleaning and Disinfecting for Health
Businesses Increasingly Demand Professional Cleaning and Disinfecting Services
“Honor God by positively impacting people and workplaces.”
— Office Pride Mission Statement
There has never been a more opportune time for commercial cleaning business owners to make a positive impact on workplaces. With a heightened awareness of the importance of cleaning and disinfecting while the nation battles coronavirus and COVID-19, commercial cleaning has moved to the forefront of conversation in many offices.
For many workplaces, stepped-up cleaning and disinfecting services are now routine.
Because of an increase in demand for disinfection services and personal protective equipment (PPE), many vendors ran short of supplies during the spring of 2020.
This is a great example of when being part of a caring franchise family can make a big difference: Office Pride’s corporate team helped franchisees locate more vendors for PPE and the chemicals used for sanitization and disinfection. The corporate team also monitored rapidly changing guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Environmental Protection Agency and other government agencies and industry organizations so they could keep franchisees informed.
Since many Office Pride franchisees moved to invest in electrostatic sprayers or misters to meet the demand for disinfection services during the pandemic and flu season, the corporate team also helped locate vendors for electrostatic technology and set up training for franchise owners.
An electrostatic sprayer or mister is a state-of-the-art tool that enables technicians to quickly and efficiently sanitize surfaces and even the hardest-to-reach places in an office by evenly and consistently applying an electrostatically charged mist of commercial-grade disinfectant. No wiping is required, which allows the disinfectant to remain on the surface during the required dwell time, the time that a disinfectant must remain on a surface to kill germs. The process is safe for all surfaces, including electronic equipment.

Office Pride franchises have always cleaned for health and wellness, not only for appearance. This year, Office Pride rolled out a new programs emphasizing best practices for the sanitizing and disinfecting services offered in an effort to help franchisees meet every customer’s needs:

- Level 3: Includes all aspects of our signature high-quality cleaning services, disinfection of high-touch surfaces and, in addition, sanitizing and disinfecting your entire office.
Kim Burckhardt, the owner-operator of Office Pride of Westminster-Eldersburg, launched her franchise at the height of the pandemic. “I think everyone is taking cleaning and disinfection more seriously now than ever before. Businesses are examining their current cleaning procedures, and they want a company that knows what they are doing,” she says. “I believe Office Pride’s years of experience put our customers’ minds at ease. The confidence they have in us as their professional cleaners can be passed on to their clients and customers. And as we work together, we can help get our local economy back to a new normal.”
