We try to make sure everyone is happy at the Office Pride commercial cleaning franchise, from vendors and customers to employees and franchisees. And we got some great feedback this month from Franchise Business Review, which included us on their ninth annual Top 200 Franchises list based on franchisee satisfaction.

To compile the list, Franchise Business Review, a nationwide market research firm, surveyed 26,000 franchisees with 350 brands, asking them to rank their franchise system in dozens of areas such as leadership, operations and product development, and training and support. All of the brands on the list scored above-average marks for franchisee satisfaction.

“We look out for each other at Office Pride, and part of our corporate culture is to treat everyone with respect,” says Todd Hopkins, CEO and founder of Office Pride. “Our franchisees join peer groups where they can get together online once a month to share ideas, discuss the ups and downs of the business and offer support to one another.

“Of course, we always provide support at the corporate level, but it’s important for franchisees to be able to lean on each other and share best practices.”

Todd created the company in 1992 and from the start, the business has operated on Biblical principles. That makes a difference to Office Pride franchisees.

“I think what makes us different from other franchises is that many of them just take your money, give you a manual and tell you to go do it,” says Fred Paris, a franchisee in Franklin, Ind. “Todd is very involved. Office Pride stays involved, and they have tremendous training. … They’re different because they’re very hands-on and because of the Christian values.”

Office Pride has developed excellent systems over the years that help franchisees provide superior service at competitive prices. That makes a big difference to franchisees who come from backgrounds outside the cleaning industry, like John Baugus of North Georgia, a former home builder.

“The only experience I had was in sweeping out the houses I built,” John says. “Management or operations experience is helpful, but not critical because the franchise and the support system at Office Pride are so incredible. There are so many people ready, willing and able to give you support along the way. I have at least six other franchisees on my speed dial, and I call them regularly. I can ask questions related to so many things – sales, procedure, operations etc. It makes a huge difference to have a network of people so willing to give their time. I think it’s what separates Office Pride from a lot of other systems.”

Scott Gipson of Fishers, Ind., spent years in the insurance industry before pursuing his dream of entrepreneurship. As a man of deep faith, he found a perfect fit in Office Pride. And he loves the nurturing environment for franchisees.
