As the Office Pride name suggests, we take pride in what we do, and we want to make sure every franchisee feels the same way. An ideal Office Pride franchisee must be driven, self-motivated and have support from family and friends. They must be willing and enthusiastic about using the proven Office Pride Business System. Why would you buy a franchise if you just want to turn around and run things differently? The strength of a franchise lies in its proven systems. Management experience is important, but it doesn’t matter whether it’s in the cleaning business or something completely different. If someone is willing to work hard and implement what Office Pride provides, teaches and coaches, we can all be successful.
Finding the right fit
At Office Pride, we want someone who is willing to persevere. There will be good days and bad days. When you have a bad day, you’ve got to be able to pick yourself up. If three people call in sick and a customer gives notice, you can’t just give up. You have to get in there and help with the cleaning when necessary. You’ve got to lead by example and maintain a positive attitude. You must always represent the Office Pride values and beliefs. Nothing is worse than cutting corners, not living up to your commitments and disrespecting others.
We’re looking for individuals who are honest, real and true. We want franchisees who truly enjoy working with other people, from customers to vendors to employees. It’s critical to understand how to manage your finances, but it’s never just about the money.
Some people want to approach Office Pride with a fistful of dollars and say, “Here’s my money. I want to buy my franchise.” That doesn’t work for us. We have procedures to follow, background checks and interviews to make sure every franchisee is a right fit for Office Pride. Before signing a franchise agreement, candidates talk with our other franchise owners and employees. We encourage that because it’s good for both Office Pride and the potential franchisee. Our owners and employees will provide valuable feedback to the candidate, and they’ll also provide valuable feedback to Office Pride, because we all look out for each other.
We talk a lot about our faith in this business, and that might intimidate some people. They might think, “Oh, I don’t go to church very often, so I really can’t join them.” We don’t make decisions based on church attendance. What matters to us is whether you embrace our values and walk the walk. You don’t have to fit a certain religious stereotype. If you’re honest, have a good work ethic, believe in helping others and always conduct yourself with integrity, then you’re a perfect fit for us.
